Chemicals and waste issues at UNEA 5.2

HEJSupport presented NGO comments and recommendations for two draft resolutions in the UNEA5.2 resolution cluster “Chemicals and Waste” during the Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum (GMGSF) taking place in a virtual format on February 7 – 10, 2022.

Together with SSNC (Sweden), groundWork South Africa, and PAN Asia Pacific, we analyzed two main resolutions on chemicals and waste, namely:

Draft resolution for a Science-Policy Panel to support action on chemicals, waste and pollution;

Draft Omnibus Resolution on the Sound Management of Chemicals and Waste.
