Regulatory Actions to Plastic Pollution in Canada closer with addition of “Plastic Manufactured Items” to CEPA Toxic Substances List
BlogMay 12: The government of Canada published the listing of “plastic manufactured items” under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). This decision should be the beginning of progressive actions to drastically reduce pollution. HEJSupport joined other NGOs in Canada in welcoming the decision and pushing the government to move ahead with regulations to ban single-use plastics and other non-essential plastic items.
