NGO comments to the Proposal for a draft resolution to establish a Science-Policy Panel to support action on chemicals, waste and pollution

HEJSupport coordinated 11 NGOs in providing comments on the discussion on the Science-Policy Interface in the SAICM VWG on Governance and mechanism to support implementation and are available at NGOs_SPI_Jan2021.pdf (saicm.org).

In addition, HEJSupport, SSNC (Sweden), and groundWorkSouth Africa submitted a letter to the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment with comments to the Proposal for a draft resolution to establish a Science – Policy Panel to support action on chemicals, waste. The Proposal was submitted by Costa Rica, Switzerland, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Uruguay.

The resolution will be considered at the coming UN Environmental Assembly 5.2 in Nairobi in early 2023.
