During the third session of the fourth meeting of the Intersessional Process (IP4.3) to finalize critical issues in the zero draft Consolidated text of the future framework on chemicals and waste, A Group of NGOs prepared comments on the zero draft High -Level Declaration. The work on the Comments started at the workshop organized during the Civil Society Conference in Bonn held on 22 September, three days before the fifth session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM5). The workshop was co-facilitated by HEJSupport and WECF.
Mr. Mohammed Khashashneh from the Jordan Ministry of Environment attended the workshop as an expert and a co-facilitator of the working group that will develop the zero-draft High-Level Declaration (Bonn Declaration) at ICCM5.
Key points of the Comments on the zero-draft High-Level Declaration developed by NGOs were presented during the FishBowl discussion at the Civil Society Conference facilitated by HEJSupport.
The Declaration will be adopted at the fifth session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM5), which opened on September 25 in Bonn, Germany. It will include the vision of the future framework and key expectations from governments and stakeholders on the way towards a toxic-free future for all.
